Parkland Health Center Receives Three-Year Accreditation from JCAHOAfter a comprehensive evaluation, Parkland Health Center received a three-year accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) from February 2006 to February 2009. Parkland Health Center is in full compliance with all applicable standards. An independent, not-for-profit organization, JCAHO is the nation’s predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. Since 1951, JCAHO has maintained state-of-the-art standards that focus on improving the quality and safety of care provided by health-care organizations. Parkland Health Center Receives Three-Year Accreditation from AOA HFAPParkland Health Center received a three-year accreditation from the American Osteopathic Association’s (AOA) Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) from July 2005 to July 2008. The AOA accredits institutions and programs, and approves osteopathic postdoctoral training programs. The AOA HFAP has provided medical facilities with an objective review of their services since 1945. Federal and state governments, insurance carriers and managed care organizations recognize the program nationally.
