Blood culture before antibiotic

Pneumonia is a lung infection that is usually caused by a bacteria or a virus. Blood cultures can help identify the cause of the pneumonia and determine the most effective treatment. Higher numbers reflect better performance.

A high score is better than a low score
97% - The Clay County 2008 score is for the period December 2007 to November 2008.
97% - The Clay County 2009 score is for the period December 2008 to November 2009.
100% - This is the latest data as of March 2010.
The National Average score is the National Average (equal number of hospitals above and below) performance of the hospitals that reported data to the U.S. Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) between January 2007 and December 2007.
The Top 10% score is the performance of the highest-rated 10% of hospitals that reported data to the U.S. Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) between January 2007 and December 2007.
