Cholesterol testing at arrival

Clinical evidence shows that high cholesterol levels are associated with an increase in heart disease and death. To evaluate the need for cholesterol lowering medicine after a heart attack, cholesterol levels should be tested as soon as possible after a heart attack begins because cholesterol levels can change after 12-24 hours of an acute illness. Higher numbers reflect better performance.
